We are Community Integrated Care a national Health and Social Care Organisation supporting people with autism, learning disabilities and mental health issues and we are looking to recruit an experienced Risk Manager for a 12 month maternity cover contract. Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: The role will see you develop, maintain and promote the information risk and resilience components of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) including risk appetites, emerging risks and incident capture and analysis. Support operational and support service teams in consistently applying the RMF to identify, assess, manage, monitor and report all material risks using appropriate tools (e.g. risk registers). Support the effective operation of technical committees and Risk Committees operating to three lines of defence risk management model. Provide second line oversight and challenge. In particular, second line oversight should include close engagement and challenge at relevant RBU meetings, Team meetings and committees and on project boards which deal with related content. You will also assist the Clinical Governance Team on the management of clinical risk and the delivery of effective clinical risk management processes for the Charity to improve safety of the people we support and the safety of clinical practice. Day to Day (list not exhaustive see attached job description) Responsible for the maintenance and updating of Risk policies, procedures and standard Ensure risk appetite is embedded within the Charity, providing support and challenge to management via relationship management activities and contribution to relevant governance meetings. Work with key stakeholders across the Charity to provide risk advice, oversight and challenge to ensure activity is undertaken in line with defined Risk Appetite statements and the Charity's policies and standards. Support the drive for continuous improvement activity challenging processes and procedures, enabling alignment to policies whilst considering efficiency and effectiveness of these processes Clinical Risk Management To promote a learning culture within the Charity as well as ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements and Care Inspectorate/Care Quality Commission standards. Your values: Our ideal Candidate Skills and Experience (list not exhaustive see attached job description) You must be able to evidence a proven track record in Risk Management along with specialist knowledge of Risk and Assurance; including a clear understanding of relevant legislation professional standards and knowledge of Risk Management systems in a health and social care setting. You should be educated to Degree level or equivalent, preferably with a post graduate diploma or qualification in safety, governance and risk I deally We're looking for someone who holds a risk management qualification e.g. Institute of Risk Management or has relevant experience. Current knowledge of CQC and CI regulations, frameworks and inspection process Knowledge of the care sector including regulatory and contractual frameworks and relevant legislation Must hold a valid driving license as regular travel between services is required.
