Full time position | Hourly Rate: £14 Per Hour
At Live Connected, we are dedicated to supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Mental Health needs, to move into their own homes, no matter how complex their requirements.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will promote and ensure that the company vision of person-centred support is implemented while maintaining an individual's potential and independence, and ensure all necessary back-office duties are completed within compliance.
You will work with a degree of autonomy and be required to use your initiative to ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
It will therefore be necessary for the Senior Support Worker to respect and work co-operatively with others, enabling the service users to live in their own home or within their local community with dignity and confidence.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Current registration with NISCC or be eligible for registration on appointment
* Full, valid driving licence or an ability to travel independently to meet the requirements of the post
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service Requirements
* Provide a high-quality standard of care to our company service users.
* Participate in the on-call phone on working weekends as required and cover in the absence of the Team Leader
* Participate in shadowing and 12-week induction of all new staff for designated areas, ensuring documentation is completed and submitted to the Service Manager on time.
* Report any Staff or Service user concerns, grievances, and complaints to the Service Manager.
* Ensure all Care Staff have a supply of protective items (aprons and gloves) as required.
* Ensure all audits are up-to-date and of a high standard
* Carry out risk assessments and report promptly to the Team Leader
* Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Company Handbook
* Comply with policies and procedures contained in Connected Health Policies and Procedures Manuals including the Company Handbook.
* Participate in emergency cover as required across multiple services
* Participate in training and further development as required.
* Undertake any other duties as requested by Management.
* Implement a Keyworker system where appropriate, to assess and evaluate the quality of care provided to service users, seeking their views and implementing measures to meet the service aims and objectives.
* Ensure service users are given opportunities to attend health screening appointments they are invited to.
* Conduct return-to-work interviews with staff who have been absent due to sickness, pregnancy, family emergencies, etc., even if off for one day.
* Support service users in advancing their lives through community connections, hobbies, interests, work, and creative activities, challenging and improving the support provided.
