HLTA - Wigan:
Prospero Teaching is looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join one of our schools near Wigan. You will need an excellent understanding of both core and foundation subjects for the general curriculum.
This role requires a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification. You should be confident in delivering lessons while the teacher is on PPA.
The Role:
1. Working with the class teacher to deliver lessons and activities in a range of subjects
2. Building rapport with students, parents, and staff
3. Regularly communicating with the class teacher to monitor the progress of the students
4. Maintaining a positive and nurturing learning environment
Position Details:
Location: Wigan

Full time/Part time: Full time only
Minimum Rate of Pay: £130 per day, depending on experience
Start date: 03/02/2025
End date: Ongoing
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
1. Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
2. Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is essential
3. Excellent knowledge of the curriculum in both core and foundation subjects
4. Previous experience leading lessons for small groups
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
1. Hold the right to work in the UK
2. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
3. Provide two professional child-related references
