National Account Manager

Circa £51k, plus bonus etc.
My client is a rapidly growing food business. Due to unparalleled growth in the last 2 years, they are seeking a number of NAMs to join their evolving commercial team. The role will focus on their current (but fast-growing) retailer list (both major retailers and discount retailers) as well as their expansion into Europe.
Typical responsibilities will include:
1. Develop and deliver an effective UK/IRE & EU sales strategy that drives sales and maximises company profit.
2. Develop customer base nationally and internationally forming long-term retail relationships.
3. Plan and deliver sales and profit-enhancing trade promotions.
4. Regular customer communication and attend meetings as required.
5. Some international travel.
Minimum Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced National Account Manager / NAM / Senior Account Manager from within the food, fresh produce or FMCG sector. They will ideally have experience with the major retailers in the UK (and abroad). Exceptional communication skills, on top of strong negotiating skills, are also key.
