BDS are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker for a retirement living service based in Brentwood.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
1. Supported or retirement housing
2. Liaising with external providers
3. Assessing potential tenants
You will provide daily communication with the residents, who live independently within the Schemes. You will be responsible for assessing residents' daily needs, completing support plans, and signposting information, whilst liaising with in-house support workers daily to ensure a continued smooth service.
You will also report repairs, complete Health and Safety Checks, and be in charge of the running of the Scheme as a whole. You will need to deliver a consistently high service at all times.
Hours are 30 per week which can be worked over 4 or 5 days. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right person.
Salary circa £27K pro rata.
The ideal candidate:
1. Must be able to work on own initiative
2. Must be computer literate
3. Must be able to easily learn new systems
4. Excellent customer service
5. Previous housing experience preferred
6. Previous experience of working with older people or vulnerable adults
