Duties
As our IT Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, delivering excellent customer service while troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Additionally, you will:
* Log and manage support tickets using our IT service management system
* Escalate complex issues to the 2nd Line Support team when required
* Document resolutions and create knowledge articles in line with ISO27001 standards
* Produce clear installation and troubleshooting instructions for other team members
* Liaise with third-party suppliers to resolve technical issues and manage software licensing queries
* Proactively address recurring technical problems to prevent future disruptions
* Ensure all service-level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met within agreed timeframes
The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Good knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems
* Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, PowerShell and common IT applications
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* A customer-centric attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure
* The ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
* Previous experience in IT support or a customer service role
* IT-related certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation)
* Relevant IT degree or equivalent experience
Please note, you will require the right to work in the UK. The successful candidate will also need to hold SC level security clearance.
