Berry Recruitment is recruiting for a Sales Operative for a fantastic site in Huyton.
Hours - Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
About the Role:
This is a dual-purpose role where you'll be the voice of the brand for both inbound queries and warm outbound calls. Whether a customer is looking to order samples, book a video call, ask questions about artificial grass or carpets, or needs help with an order - you'll be there to guide them.
What You'll Be Doing:
Inbound Sales & Support
Responding to incoming calls, emails, and web chats from customers across both brands
Providing friendly, knowledgeable advice on product types, delivery options, installation questions, and suitability
Assisting with placing orders, checking stock, and processing payments
Resolving customer queries or complaints quickly and professionally
Outbound Sales (Warm Leads Only)
Calling customers who have shown interest via sample requests, quote forms, or abandoned checkouts
Building rapport and helping customers feel confident in their purchase decision
Following up on leads generated by our paid ad campaigns and video consultations
Updating lead tracking and CRM systems with call notes and outcomes
Team & Systems
Collaborating closely with the wider sales, ecommerce, and customer care teams
Learning the ins and outs of our core platforms (Shopify, CRM tools, order processing software)
Maintaining a clear and structured communication trail on each customer interaction
Continuously improving based on training, product updates, and team feedback
What We're Looking For:
Strong phone and email communication skills - clear, professional, and friendly
Confidence in handling customer objections and steering conversations towards a sale
Organised, detail-focused and able to multitask in a fast-paced ecommerce environment
Experience in ecommerce, flooring, interiors or a similar customer-facing role is a big bonus - but not essential if you're eager to learn
