About Our Client
Page Personnel is working with a leading manufacturing business based in Knutsford. They are seeking a Management Accountant to join a growing team at an exciting time for the business.
Job Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts in the prescribed internal format on a timely basis.
* Provide analytical review and commentary on month-end performances, explaining deviations from budget and forecast where applicable.
* Maintain strong internal controls and understand all accounts within the balance sheet, undertaking monthly reconciliations.
* Ensure intercompany balances are reconciled monthly between group companies.
* Support the annual budget process.
* Work closely with departmental managers to monitor and control monthly/YTD overhead costs, calculating latest forecasts.
* Maintain the fixed asset register and monitor capital spending in line with authorized limits.
* Support year-end audit processes by liaising with external auditors.
* Provide analytical support for investment decisions.
* Develop and oversee financial systems and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Compile strategies to reduce business costs.
* Perform other duties as requested by senior management.
The Successful Candidate
The candidate will:
* Have experience in a similar accounting role (Required)
* Be nearly CIMA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience (Required)
* Have strong working knowledge of MS Excel (Required)
* Understanding of the industry and supply chain (Desirable)
* Possess strong written and verbal communication skills (Required)
* Be an analytical thinker with high attention to detail (Required)
