You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering students' performance skills, and developing their understanding of dramatic techniques. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging Drama lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in line with the National Curriculum. Foster a creative and interactive learning environment, encouraging students to explore dramatic techniques, improvisation, and performance skills. Develop and implement innovative curriculum initiatives that align with the school's vision and the latest advancements in drama education. Direct and produce school productions, providing opportunities for students to showcase their talents and develop their confidence on stage. Build positive and supportive relationships with students, promoting teamwork and fostering a love of learning. Play an active role in the department, including contributing to curriculum development, assessment strategies, and departmental meetings. Participate in whole-school events and initiatives, fostering a collaborative spirit and contributing to the wider school community. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified Drama Teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students and developing their dramatic abilities. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for drama, with a strong understanding of theatre history, dramatic theory, and a variety of performance styles. Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
