What Will Be Your Environment:
The Huddersfield Plant is situated in Yorkshire, with <50 employees
Our site specialises in the manufacture of additives for Lubrizol Performance Coatings. Working to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO-14001:2015 standards, the plant specializes in manufacturing both aqueous and solvent based resins, polymers, dispersants and adhesion promoters for the metals and coatings industries.
Working with our customers, we produce essential ingredients in the formulation of organic and inorganic pigments used in the paints and coatings, printing inks, plastics, wood finishing and metal coatings industries. Our products give the end user extremely efficient particle dispersion, particle size stability and provide the highest level of appearance and performance. The products manufactured at Huddersfield are widely used across the world.
What You'll Do:
As a Project Engineer, you will help the plant meet its business objectives and improve its overall performance by managing and executing various projects. By effectively leading project teams and ensuring the delivery of final installations, equipment, and assets to the plant, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
You will increase operational efficiency and productivity of the plant by identifying areas where improvements can be made, implementing projects that increase plant efficiency and productivity, leading to cost savings and improved output.
Enhance safety and compliance of the plant, ensuring that projects are executed safely and comply with relevant regulations and standards, reducing the risk of accidents and incidents.
You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.
What We're Looking For:
The following accountabilities are identified for the role of Project Engineer
* Create collaborative relationships across multiple functions including Engineering, Manufacturing- & Procurement as well as with business unit leaders.
* Project management: Develop plan for each project/scope, monitor progress and prepare scheduled/necessary updates of activities to relevant stakeholders.
* Participating in the evaluation and selection of equipment and contractors.
* Working with third-party contractors to develop viable time scales and working practices.
* Resolving any problems with the team, plans and budget to ensure that the project flows smoothly.
* Identifying potential problems with projects, leading the team into developing solutions and ensuring that they are implemented.
* Planning and scheduling of resources required to successfully deliver and support projects.
* Serve as contact during Distributed Control System related projects. Partners with experts to assess DeltaV and other control system hardware and licensing needs for projects.
Skills That Make a Difference:
* BS Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical field, or relevant (5+ years) of proven project execution experience in the chemical process industry.
* Experience with Project Execution, installation and construction process, project management and continuous improvement experience.
* Active communication and collaboration with various departments, leadership, problem-solving, adaptability and attention to detail.
* Good computer skills: Office365, ERP SAP software, Project management Software.
* Experience with DCS (Emerson Delta V) or other similar plant control system.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; along with the ability to negotiate.
* First-hand experience delivering capital projects.
