Job Role: ASB Officer
Job Location: Manchester Council
Rate – £19.09 per hour
Working period: Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:30
Assignment period: 6-9 Months Ongoing
About you
* We are looking for an individual who is comfortable engaging with people face to face, as well as visiting residents and businesses.
* We require someone with an understanding and knowledge, and ideally, of the practical application of the tools and powers within the ASB Crime and Policing Act 2014. The successful candidate will be competent in enforcing legislation which can include issuing verbal warnings and/or legal action. You must be able to confidently explain your enforcement decisions and deal with any challenges politely and professionally.
* We require someone who is motivated with excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus. Your skills enable you to effectively communicate with other professionals, victims, witnesses and ASB perpetrators. You can demonstrate active listening, empathy and assertiveness, with the ability to lead on responding to community safety issues in your area.
