Job overview
We have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapist to join our Children’s Therapy department. Our well-established, friendly team is looking to recruit a physiotherapist who is keen to specialise their career in the challenging but rewarding field of Pediatrics.
The service consists of Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Therapy Assistants. We have teams based in both Halifax and Huddersfield, providing a service across Calderdale and South Kirklees.
You will provide physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and advice, working in various settings including clinics, schools, and nurseries with children of all ages. You will have excellent communication and team working skills, and the ability to effectively prioritise and manage a varied caseload.
Main duties of the job
1. Work autonomously within Trust policies and professional practice, maintaining accurate and comprehensive up-to-date records.
2. Carry out specialist assessment and treatment of children with complex needs, facilitating understanding and active participation from children/young people and carers.
3. Determine clinical diagnosis, develop, deliver, implement, evaluate, and modify individualised treatment programmes.
4. Participate in the education and training of Physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.

* Registered with HPC
* Evidence of Postgraduate Training
* Clinical Educator Training
* Member of Professional Body
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE
* Knowledge of child development and common paediatric conditions
* Experience in assessing, treating, and evaluating care in paediatrics
* Good Clinical Reasoning skills
* Evidence of CPD and Reflective Practice
* Ability to carry out specialist assessments and treatments
* Experience in supervising and training others
COMMUNICATION AND RELATIONSHIPS
* Ability to communicate effectively with people with complex difficulties
* Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate appropriately
