Hours: 37 Hours per week What you will do: This post is within the Endoscopy Dept and the postholder will provide a comprehensive Medical Secretarial service to the Surgeons and Gastroenterologists as well as the Nurse Endoscopists who undertake Endoscopy lists. Primary duties will include a high volume of telephone and written correspondence to patients, GPs and other Clinicians within the acute setting. Operation and maintenance of the waiting list on Trak as well as operating and maintaining the Unisoft Endoscopy Reporting System. For further information on the role please click the link below to view the job description Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: Experience within a secretarial environment is essential along with the ability to operate and maintain a computerised waiting list and Endoscopy Reporting System, although training will be provided. Knowledge or qualification in Medical Terminology is advantageous. You should have a relevant secretarial qualification e.g. AMSPAR Diploma for Medical Secretaries, RSA, or Scotvec qualification such as HNC in Business Admin or equivalent experience. Good communication skills are essential as this is a busy and challenging post.
