Position: EC&I Team Leader Location: Plymouth Salary: Competitive, plus excellent benefits Job Type: Full-time About the Role: The EC&I Maintenance Team Leader will oversee the maintenance and inspection of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems across multiple assets. Reporting to the Instrument & Electrical Superintendent, you will lead a team of skilled technicians, ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with UK/European legislation and standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of EC&I technicians, providing training, coaching, and performance management. Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and compliance with regulations. Develop, implement, and review maintenance procedures, safety instructions, and management systems for EC&I systems. Ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and other relevant safety and engineering standards. Provide technical support for fault-finding, repairs, and inspection findings to maintain the fitness of assets. Manage and review critical spare parts stock levels for EC&I assets. Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards. Support the delivery and review of Functional Safety and safety-instrumented systems. Act as a Competent Person for Low Voltage systems, operating and maintaining them across the assets. Collaborate with the maintenance management team to meet evolving engineering challenges. What We’re Looking For: Recognised Engineering Craft/Technician apprenticeship in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control. Minimum of ONC/HNC in a relevant discipline with 5 years of industry experience post-apprenticeship. Proven experience in EC&I maintenance supervision and strong knowledge of associated processes. Familiarity with legislation such as the Electricity at Work Regulations and Functional Safety standards. Competency in project management tools and principles, including Microsoft Project. Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage resources effectively, including staff, contractors, and budgets
