A rapidly growing construction business is recruiting a Credit Controller to join their team on a temporary basis to cover long-term sickness; this role also has the potential to become permanent later down the line. The business is based in East Sheffield, conveniently located near fantastic public transport links.
In the role of a Credit Controller, your key responsibilities are pivotal for upholding the business’s credit policies and overall finance function. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running in this high-importance role, completing tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
Duties of a Credit Controller:
* Responsibility for the full credit control process for an allocated part of the business’s ledger.
* Chase outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with the business’s key contacts.
* Maintain accurate records.
* Respond appropriately and effectively to customer queries.
* Contribute to regular credit reports.
Preferred skills & attributes:
* Must have previous experience as a Credit Controller.
* Experience using a range of financial systems, including Sage and Excel.
* Strong communication skills, especially when chasing payments via telephone.
* Team player.
