About the Role Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves expediting shipments, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring the smooth delivery of goods to meet customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Expediting: Confirm purchase orders and estimated arrival times (ETAs) with suppliers. Update the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics GP) with accurate Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) and ETA dates. Proactively identify, resolve, and communicate delays with suppliers to internal stakeholders. Ensure production times align with agreed schedules and are accurately relayed to customer service teams. Monitor and mitigate potential supply chain delays, keeping stakeholders informed. Customer Enquiries Management: Respond to internal enquiries regarding lead times and pricing within agreed timeframes. Assess and select suppliers based on price, lead time, and shipping options, retaining supporting documentation. Order Shipment Coordination: Source products and create purchase orders using suppliers from the Approved Vendor List (AVL). Ensure on-time, in-full delivery using cost-effective shipping methods. Data Integrity Management: Maintain and update supply chain information within the ERP system, including supplier details, pricing, and delivery terms. Communication and Reporting: Provide monthly progress updates to the Supply Chain Manager, escalating issues as necessary. Collaborate with sales, solutions, and engineering teams on delivery schedules, pricing, and supplier details. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, expediting, or procurement. Experience with Far East shipping and knowledge of international air and sea freight regulations and Incoterms. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft GP) and logistics software (e.g., TMS). Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
