Company Policies: Manage and follow the quality, health, safety, and all policies of the company
Manage tasks with design and project engineering support within the vehicle packaging team
Supply CAD models and drawings suitable for producing components by various manufacturing processes.
Take projects through to manufacture and therefore be responsible for every detail of the design
Design and development of CAD, administration activity; BOM (Bill of Materials), DVP (Design Verification Plan), Family Tree and Release activity in-line with the companies NPI process and customer specific process
Work closely with the Engineering Analysis team (FEA) to meet design targets and drive the most cost-effective solutions
Ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) philosophy is integrated into designs
Communicate with the Lead/Principal Engineers to ensure you have the required level of support and help when required
Support Programme team to ensure project deliverables are achieved
Communicate design solutions
Participate in formal and on the job training which will be provided regards the use of software and design techniques
Good Understanding of CAD and CAE Literacy – Catia V5 within packaging discipline
Engineering design knowledge
Ability and awareness of design to manufacturing process
Understanding importance of managing engineering change requests and claim management
