As a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school, you’ll support teachers and students in various subjects. Your role will involve working with students who need extra help, whether it's supporting them in lessons or providing one-on-one assistance. You'll help create a positive and engaging learning environment, ensuring students have the resources and support they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities: Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and supporting students with classwork. Providing one-on-one or small group support for students with special educational needs. Encouraging students to take part in class activities and develop their skills. Helping with classroom management and ensuring a safe and positive atmosphere. Supporting students during break times and extracurricular activities. Working alongside teachers and other staff to meet the needs of individual students. What Do You Need? A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them succeed. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team. Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Some experience working with secondary school-aged students would be an advantage, but not essential.
