To help achieve our mission we now are searching for a successful Supply Chain Manager who will have full responsibility of the end-to-end supply chain across the Americas region ensuring the seamless flow of materials, from procurement, through production to delivery of our customer products.
This critical role sits within our Global Operations function based out of our US Technical Center in Woburn, Boston, MA. The successful candidate will also cover our Business Center in Sugar Land Houston, so flexibility for occasional travel will be required.
What you will be doing…
* Manage and control the procurement of materials, components, supplies, and services for the Americas region including:
* Leading, managing, and coordinating the Americas purchasing and materials management team
* Develop materials management strategies which optimise stock holding levels to maximize availability and delivery performance whilst balancing with working capital with cost reduction objectives.
* Management of despatch process including the Shipping Dock, Export Compliance and Freight Management
* Negotiates and establishes partnerships with suppliers that support company goals and objectives
* Manages inventory through Kanban and MRP systems
* Develop and implement programs with suppliers and internal cross-functional team members that address lead time production, order fill rate performance, quality performance, cost reduction, and technical improvements
* Evaluates the material requirements plan (MRP) for all product lines. Generates and adjusts purchase orders in support of MRP requirements. Communicates areas of concern to appropriate departments, individuals, and suppliers. Inputs, maintains, and adjusts records or transactions to ensure system validity
* Deliver the annual inventory cycle count program for the US Supply Chain
* Governance of the Approved Vendor’s with regards to Compliance (Finance/Regulatory), Performance (Delivery/Quality) and Environmental (Sustainability).
* Sources and evaluates new suppliers and materials in conjunction with Quality Assurance and Engineering in support of company goals and objectives. Arranges for disposal of surplus materials.
* Analyses and evaluates inventory and delivery problems and recommends solutions
* Process owner for all Freight & Trade Compliance activities within the US Supply Chain
What we are looking for …
* A Supply chain expert with a proven track record of managing the end-to-end supply chain function:
* Experience of working within a manufacturing environment producing highly technical products
* Full user proficiency with SAP or similar MRP Systems
* Working knowledge of Lean / Kaizen
* Working knowledge of Kanban / pull systems
* A proven track record in inventory and purchasing management with experience of worldwide sourcing
* Experienced contract negotiator in a cost-competitive market
* A honed communicator with the ability to build collaborative relationships across our global business
* Professional accreditation/membership from APIX, CLIT or similar is advantageous

Location: A minimum of 3 days per week onsite will be required
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (flexible start and finish times)
Status: Right to Work in the USA on a permanent basis will be required
