Are you an experienced IT Projects & Budgets Officer looking for a new exciting opportunity? In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring expenditure, maintaining the budget register, and ensuring accurate processing of supplier invoices for the ICT department. Your expertise will play a critical role in optimising organisational efficiency and cost management. Contract details: 6 month contract (great potential for further extensions) £300-£370 per day (inside IR35 & Umbrella Rate) Hybrid working (need to be on site minimum of 2 days per week in Merseyside) Key Responsibilities: Monitor ICT Department expenditure and maintain the budget register Check and approve supplier invoices, resolving any issues that arise Ensure accurate processing of supplier charges, identifying anomalies or mis-charges Utilise project management software and control techniques to oversee projects Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate tariffs or discounts as needed Use spreadsheets to track individual project expenditures and maintain budgetary oversight Work closely with IS Managers and Programme Coordinators to allocate resources effectively Requirements: Accountancy training is desirable Knowledge of budgetary procedures in a large-scale procurement environment Previous experience in invoice processing and supplier charge verification Familiarity with project control techniques, including Gantt charts and critical path analysis Strong communication skills to address and resolve supplier issues Analytical proficiency to identify anomalies in charges and invoices Competency in spreadsheets for budget tracking and overview maintenance Knowledge of telephony service charging and tariffs is desirable If you are a detail-oriented professional with a knack for project management and budgetary control, our client would love to hear from you.
