A global law firm with a presence across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas is looking for a qualified Partnership Accountant to join the team. The firm's expertise spans a variety of industries including aviation, construction, insurance, shipping, and energy.
Your new role
In your new role as a Partnership Accountant, you will report into the Head of Tax and the Group Tax Manager to provide tax compliance and advisory services to the firm and its partners.
1. Prepare tax computations for partnerships and LLPs within the group, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
2. Organise and compile information for personal tax reliefs.
3. Assist in the bi-annual partners' tax payments process, working with external tax advisors to ensure smooth transactions.
4. Calculate partners' tax reserves, including DTR and equalisation.
5. Support the firm's cash flow forecasting related to tax payments.
6. Review annual tax and statutory compliance deadlines with other tax advisors/accountants to maintain an accurate compliance calendar.
7. Prepare and periodically review process notes, identifying areas for improvement in tax processes.
8. Serve as a key contact for HMRC, partners, external tax advisors, and partners' accountants on tax matters.
9. Provide support in the absence of the Tax Manager.
10. Undertake ad hoc projects related to the firm's and partners' tax affairs.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position, you will be CTA or ATT qualified with a background in partnership or personal tax. You will be confident in providing tax compliance services within a professional services or financial services environment. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders.
