Agreka Build is seeking a hands-on, inventive, and highly skilled Production Lead to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing site. You will be responsible for running and optimising production processes, maintaining equipment, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability. This role is ideal for someone with a background in mechanical, process, or general engineering who enjoys problem-solving, working with machinery, and developing innovative solutions. This position will be funded under Innovate UK Smart Grant. Be a part of our team The Role Location: Cheshire East/ London or Hybrid Job Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, based on experience Title: Production Lead Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage MVP production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment. Optimise processes for improved performance, cost reduction, and sustainability. Design and prototype mechanical components Implement industrial sensors, automation, and control systems for process monitoring and improvement. Work closely with engineers and R&D teams to refine product formulations and production methods. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Train and supervise production staff as the team grows. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and technologies. What We're Looking For Background in mechanical, process, or general engineering (degree or relevant experience). Hands-on experience with machinery operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Knowledge in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for mechanical design. Strong problem-solving skills and an inventive mindset to optimise production. Understanding of industrial sensors, automation, and control systems (desirable). Programming skills and/or robotics experience (an advantage). Ability to work independently and proactively in a startup environment. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, or sustainability practices is a plus. Why Join Agreka Build?
