Main Duties: As an Accounts Assistant, your main duties include: Processing supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Preparation and process of payment runs. Reconciliation of supplier statements, resolving any discrepancies. Monitoring customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances. Conducting credit checks on new customers and setting appropriate credit limits. Chasing overdue invoices via phone, email, and letters. Negotiating payment plans and terms with customers when necessary. Preparation of regular reports on aged debtors and credit control activities. Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies. Other ad hoc tasks as required.
