We are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join our finance team and play a vital role in driving financial excellence across the organisation. Our team is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where every member can thrive and contribute to our success.
As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for generating and evaluating financial reports, assist in budget preparation, forecasting, financial planning and analysis and assist in the production of monthly management accounts.
Roles and Responsibilities
Establishing the standard costs of services and developing costing models
Updating the standard costs of services based on the associated expenses
Cost centre accounting – monthly reporting and analysis of variances to budget/forecast
Analysing organisational data to improve profitability
Provide detailed cost analysis, identifying controllable expenditures, efficiency opportunities, and external trends.
Preparing monthly or quarterly reports for senior management
Submitting accounting reports to management every month or quarter
Preparation of supporting materials for statutory audit .
Assist during the month end process with Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Payroll
Assist with the resolution of Budgeting and Forecasting: develop budgets, financial projections and financial forecasts.
Decision support: use data to advise management on performance improvement and minimise risk
Special projects: work on special projects such as implementation of new systems, cost controls
Key Performance Indicators: Analyse KPI’s and monitor for variances
Risk Management: Develop strong internal controls to minimise risk
Build and nurture strong relationships with all stakeholders in the business and ensuring customer service is instilled to internal and external customers.
Job Competencies
Part qualified/ QBE Management Accountant.
Sage 200 experience and advanced Excel required.
Previous experience of cost accounting is essential.
Excellent communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
Willingness to learn new tasks to cover within the department.
A strong commitment to high quality customer service.
The ability to work well within a team as well as alone, showing initiative and prioritisation.
Good personal organisational skills.
