Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a very varied caseload - within the department, on the ward and in theatre. Working with leading practitioners and experiencing new practices, equipment and facilities. As a clinical lead, you will enjoy scoping to develop policies and procedures. Supervising and developing more junior staff members. Providing a service of the highest quality, delivered with sensitivity and compassion.
About us
Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital is situated next to the Nuffield Health Devonshire Gym, in Derriford, Plymouth and has been part of the Plymouth community since 1971. We have 3 main theatres - 2 laminar flow and 1 digital, a fully JAG accredited endoscopy suite, a 35-bedded ward with one 4-bedded bay and one 2-bedded bay. Our outpatients department has 12 consulting rooms with a dedicated ophthalmology suite and ENT service. We carry out treatment under a range of specialities including Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery and Neurosurgery. We recently were rated in the top 50 hospitals in the country for our total hip replacement patient outcomes.
Job responsibilities
As a Radiographer at our Plymouth Hospital, you'll bring high levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately. You have a great eye for detail and you're caring by nature. You hold a BSc degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification and excellent teamwork skills. As a Radiographer, you will:

Person Specification
Qualifications
* A BSc degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* A postgraduate qualification in an area of specialization.
* Radiation Protection Supervisor training and/or qualification are desirable.
Experience
* High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail.
* A caring nature - to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.
* Post-registration experience relevant to the role.
* Excellent communication and team working abilities.
