Please note this role will attract a potential shift premium of 33% of the base rate, this is an additional earning of up to £10,395, Annually. This night shift could earn up to £53,207 with shift allowance included.

About Role
John Lewis Partnership Commercial Vehicle Technicians are the lifeblood of our logistics network. Without them, our shelves would be empty and our customers disappointed. Our Vehicle Technicians are encouraged to manage their own time while being proactive to ensure our Commercial Fleet is maintained.
What you'll be doing
As a Technician within the team, you’ll be working on our large HGV lorries. It will be your job to ensure all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard to both VOSA and Partnership’s requirements.
As well as ensuring that the relevant sections of all inspections, services and defect sheets are completed in compliance with our ‘O’ Licence obligations and that all spare requests and time books are completed daily. You will need to be aware of best practices and current commercial vehicle repair techniques, to be able to ensure that high-quality repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner and that the use of spare parts and consumables reflects the level of work carried out.

Essential skills you’ll need
* City and Guilds 1,2,3 Vehicle technician or equivalent qualifications
* Full UK Driving Licence
* A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs
* Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness
