Our mission: helping people to a better future About the role We are looking for a conveyancing Paralegal to join our dynamic Residential Property team in Chelmsford. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take the next step in their career, working on legal matters within a reputable and growing firm. What this role would include Assisting experienced lawyers with complex cases. With appropriate supervision, providing clients with high quality and proactive legal advice that meets their needs. Managing files, drafting contracts, checking titles, preparing initial reports to clients on initial paperwork and documentation on behalf of solicitors to agreed deadlines. Applying for and reporting on local searches, chancel, environmental, plans searches and drainage searches, index map searches and any other relevant searches. Undertaking and confirming exchange of contracts and advising parties thereafter including standard application for redemption monies, applications for new mortgage monies, advising agents. Dealing with all post exchange matters including preparation of completion statements, stamp duty land tax returns and Land Registry applications. What we are looking for While the following skills and qualifications are beneficial, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every requirement: Experience in residential property and conveyancing work is desirable but not essential. Demonstrates a high level of client service with strong organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and manage own time effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
