If so, this exciting new role may be just for you The Opportunity Due to increased expansion our client, a leading nuclear consultant, is looking to bring in a mechanical engineer (piping) to help develop and support one of the largest nuclear projects in Europe Your duties and responsibilities will be Support the development and maintenance of the pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements for their appointed work scope. Ensure that project policies, processes and contracts are implemented and delivered to the right quality to manage pressure systems regulation and structural integrity safety case requirements. Responsible for arbitration and technical decisions on HPC’s behalf in regards to pressure systems regulation and structural integrity compliance for their programme. Manage on behalf of the Programme Pressure Compliance Team Leader the pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements. Maintain personnel SQEP status to support nuclear baseline requirements. Organise the delivery of the technical files by the different stakeholders in line with Pressure Regulations. Coordinate the surveillance by the appointed Third Party. Keep track and expedite resolution of open points. Prepare declaration of conformity in line with Pressure Regulations.You will have the following qualifications & experience Degree qualified in a related Engineering or Science based discipline. Chartered Member of appropriate professional institution would be a plus (IMeche Preferred), or capable of being chartered. Relevant Experience in large scale project or asset management within a highly regulated industry sector as Power Generation, Nuclear Industry or Oil &Gas / Petro-Chemical. Relevant experiences in relation with the engineering topics associated to pressure systems manufacture, installation, structural integrity and conformity assessment. Experience in multi-cultural industrial projects.It’s great if you also have the following Relevant security clearance Experience in nuclear power generationThe setting for the role Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
