An experienced caring and supportive personal assistant is required for a pre-verbal three-year-old girl with autistic traits living in the Camborne area.
She needs someone with whom she can build a positive, trusting relationship, while receiving one-to-one support.
Your role will involve helping her explore new environments and experiences, discover the local area, and build her confidence in spending time away from home.
Her favourite activities include playing with water, spinning, jumping, and climbing, and she uses a buggy when out in the community.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support a young person in growing and gaining greater independence while making a positive impact on her life.
The rate of pay is £13.00 per hour, with the potential for an increase based on the candidate's skills and experience.
There are five hours per week available, with flexible scheduling to suit the candidate’s availability.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
