The Role
As an Asset Management Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing investment programmes, major repairs, and compliance initiatives, ensuring that all projects align with regulatory standards and strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the delivery of the organisation s planned investment programme, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution.
• Oversee major repair projects and address critical property issues, including damp and mould prevention.
• Procure and manage contractors and consultants, ensuring regulatory compliance, value for money, and continuous performance monitoring.
• Act as the lead for property adaptations, alterations, and energy efficiency measures.
• Ensure compliance with Decent Homes Standards, Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), and other housing regulations.
• Provide strategic insights into long-term asset management, aligning planned investment with the organisation s 5-year and 30-year business plans.
About You
My client is looking for an experienced property professional with a strong background in asset management, surveying, and planned maintenance. The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience delivering investment programmes and planned maintenance within the housing sector.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage large budgets and assess value for money.
• Proven expertise in contract procurement, contractor management, and compliance monitoring.
• Experience with asset management databases, stock condition surveys, and disrepair cases.
• Excellent project management skills, from inception to completion.
• A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 4, HND in Surveying, or RICS accreditation (or working towards this with strong CPD).
