Main duties of the job
As a Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents. You will assist residents with their personal hygiene, recognize and understand clinical risk areas, act courteously towards residents and their visitors, and practice safe systems of work. Job Responsibilities
Other responsibilities will include:
* Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
* Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
* Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practicing safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

Requirements
Please note this role will require:
* A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

No prior experience is required, as Avery Healthcare provides a thorough induction and training program. However, the ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate initiative and respect towards residents and other team members, be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions, and be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
