We are looking to appoint a Project Manager to help the business deliver change initiatives successfully and in a controlled manner. Due to the nature of this role, we are seeking a candidate who is within commutable distance of our Leeds head office.
ABOUT THE ROLE
To be the lead in the Change team for projects. The scope of the Change function includes system and business development projects, small change, and embedding operational excellence initiatives. This role will be our internal specialist on project delivery. Example projects we will undertake include:
1. Build of a new state-of-the-art website
2. System transformations (e.g. HR, Payroll, L&D, Risk, Medications, Finance)
3. Revolutionising reporting self-service via a datalake and reporting tools
Major projects will have six to seven-figure budgets and involve working across the business (head office and homes) on high-profile initiatives that help us to achieve our ‘Aspiring for Excellence’ mission.
Other responsibilities will include:
1. Project management of change initiatives from inception to delivery and post go-live support
2. Produce and manage change artefacts including project plan, training plan, business case, RAID log, steerco packs, tracking and milestone plans, and month-end change pack
3. Stakeholder management including chairing steercos, executive sponsor, business owner, workstream leads, Operations, IT, Finance and Change colleagues
4. Communication and reporting in appropriate format and detail across the business for different stakeholder groups
5. Manage project budget, advise exec sponsor and business owner, manage disruption to BAU, identify and manage potential conflicts, assist with business process changes
6. Support Director of Strategic Change on wider initiatives and Change colleagues on systems, training, small change, documentation and best practice
7. Role model behaviour – perform as a leader within the business, think strategically, be organised, take decisions, make change feel easy and bring people on the journey
ABOUT YOU
- Essential
1. PRINCE 2 qualified or equivalent
2. Significant experience and proven track record in management of business transformation and system projects
3. Experience managing six-figure budgets
4. Stakeholder management experience at senior levels within an organisation
5. Experience working collaboratively with Change & IT colleagues
6. Fully competent with MS-Office products, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Power-BI
