Established in 2002, Thomson Keene is a market leader in technology recruitment and we are seeking professional, motivated individuals to join our team and embark on a highly rewarding career. We work with a broad range of clients including the majority of the Tier One Investment Banks, SME tech companies in the machine learning/AI spaces, ESG investors and traditional asset managers so successful candidates will acquire a very broad knowledge base across all aspects of tech/financial services and our locations (London, Dublin, Paris, Luxembourg). Our client base is continually expanding outside of financial services to encompass media, professional services, automotive technology and others. We now need a number of Researchers to join our Research team to help build out the firm's candidate base through a mixture of headhunting, networking and database interrogation. This is an entry-level role with a training programme that will last 12-18 months depending on the progress of the individual. You will learn on the job alongside industry leaders in this space on matters covering financial markets products, recruitment methods and technology. - You will be treated as a key member of the team, helping to grow the company from Day One. - You will not be expected to directly generate revenue after 3 months like many recruitment firms (but you will be able to earn monthly bonuses straight away). - In our experience, the best Recruitment Consultants are those who fully understand their market sector, their clients and their candidates. - Progression is on merit - results are important but attitude and work ethic are given equal recognition. - We want you to become a fully fledged consultant, earning at least £60k in your first year as a consultant and then well over £100k once you are established. - Character is also important and everyone here has been hired as much for their personality as for skills. The Role Initially candidate-focused, you will be working on multiple sourcing projects and managing your workload independently as soon as you are ready to do so. This will involve: - Identifying and qualifying candidates you find through our database, job boards, social media and your ability to network/build relationships - Posting job ads - A large number of telephone screenings and face to face interviews - Managing interview booking/prep/feedback - Taking part in negotiating/closing offers Profile Candidates must be mature, self-sufficient and prepared to headhunt from target organisations and within target skillsets. You must be able to articulate your interest in a Recruitment career and ideally have an interest in Financial Services/Technology. You must be a quick learner, flexible in your approach but prepared to learn your trade, rather than attempt to run before you can walk. Very strong presentation and communication skills are essential. Ultimately this is a Sales job so candidates must have a bias towards running their own "desks" and revenue streams, with a strong work ethic. Prior sales experience would be beneficial but is not essential. French and Portuguese speakers will also be at an advantage. Ability to work to aggressive time scales, quick thinking but with the ability to understand, and therefore affect, the complexities of each transaction Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree, minimum 2:2 in any discipline Other non-academic achievements will be valued highly e.g. sporting achievements, international travel, charity work as well as demonstrable evidence of working (and earning) outside of academia. Career-minded individuals will be at an advantage - we need future leaders who will be ready to support the structure of the firm as we grow What we offer Structured mentoring and training programme Bright, spacious, collaborative working environment in our City/Shoreditch office Being part of a rapidly growing company where you can add real value from day one Working with highly successful sector experts at the quality end of the recruitment market Competitive base salary opportunity to earn bonuses for candidates placed from day one Class leading uncapped commission scheme Gym / club membership contribution Mobile phone contribution or equipment provided Cycle to work scheme to buy road bike and accessories Monthly Lunch club Quarterly events / prizes Private healthcare after qualifying period Proper coffee, fresh fruit, and weekly treats Access to financial planning advice from 3rd parties Long Term Incentive Plan via share options Salary: £27,000.00 per year bonus / commission Schedule: Full time, Monday to Friday.
