Sub Agent - A63 Castle Street Project
Location: A63 Castle Street Project Office, Wellington Street West, Hull, HU1 2DG
Rate: £450-500/day PAYE
Duration: ASAP - 31/01/2025 (possible extension)
Working Hours: 10 hours a day, Monday to Friday
Are you an experienced Sub Agent with a strong background in delivering complex reinforced concrete highway structures ? We're seeking a talented individual to join our team and oversee the successful delivery of this important project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Health, Safety & Environmental: Ensure adherence to safe systems of work, method statements, and risk assessments; improve safety systems and contribute to accident/incident investigations.
* Leadership & Communication: Take ownership of tasks, lead and motivate a team, communicate clearly with direct reports, and manage outcomes effectively.
* Engineering Control: Apply technical knowledge of setting out techniques, allocate resources, and identify additional requirements as needed.
* Quality & Productivity: Maintain high standards of quality, ensure correct handovers, and track productivity with a solution-oriented approach.
* Commercial Awareness: Maintain detailed records for commercial recovery and have a strong understanding of procurement processes.
* Team Development: Be an excellent role model for the team, demonstrate the required behaviors, and promote the development of team members.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* CSCS Card and SSSTS or SMSTS qualified.
* Strong experience in reinforced concrete highway structures.
* Ability to work independently and on your own initiative.
* Proven track record of managing tasks and teams effectively in a construction setting.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
* Knowledge of current H&S Legislation and experience in developing safe systems of work.
* Driving license required.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
* Strong leadership skills and wide-ranging independent judgment.
* Professional accreditation (e.g., ICE, IHT ) is a plus.
* Experience in construction processes related to Earthworks/Drainage, Pavement, Structures, Roadworks, etc.
