The Role
Clinical Counselling Psychologist
Accountable to the Head of Adult Psychological Therapies, and responsible to the Consultant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
Be responsible for the systematic autonomous provision of a highly specialised psychological assessment and treatment service to adults referred to Adult Psychological Therapies.
Provide clinical supervision to clinical staff within Adult Psychological Therapies.
Contribute to Psychological Services training, teaching and research activities.
Represent the Locality Co-ordinator as required.
Senior Psychological Therapist
Accountable to the Head of Adult Psychological Therapies, and responsible to the Consultant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
Be responsible for the systematic autonomous provision of a highly specialised psychological assessment and treatment service to patients referred to the Adult Psychological Therapies Service.
Provide clinical supervision to clinical staff within Adult Psychological Therapies, within specific therapeutic modalities.
Contribute to Psychological Services training, teaching and research activities.
Provide a range of specialist evidence-based psychological therapies, training, and supervision with an advanced clinical specialism.
Represent the Consultant Clinical / Counselling Psychologist, as required, and take on locality management activities as required.

What we'll need you to bring:
Clinical Counselling Psychologist
Have a Post Graduate Doctoral level (or equivalent) degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology and be a Registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council in the UK.
Complete further courses of additional learning as relevant to the clinical skills required for the post.
Have knowledge of NHSL Health Board's Policies and Procedures, and national and professional guidelines for optimal standards of clinical care.
Have knowledge of psychiatry and other related professions in order to understand complex clinical presentations.
Work in a sensitive manner with respect to diversity and gender, ethnic, culture and philosophical issues.
Be aware of the limits of one's competence and expertise.
Maintain and update knowledge of legislation and local policies and issues in relation to Adult Mental Health.
Attend in-house and external mandatory training courses.
Possess a full driving licence.
Senior Psychological Therapist
Hold one of the following: HCPC registered psychologist (doctorate degree), NMC (honours degree), or Allied Health Professional (AHP) (honours degree).
Have completed training in at least one evidence-based psychological therapy and have additional relevant experience.
Have knowledge of NHSL Health Board's Policies and Procedures, and national and professional guidelines for optimal standards of clinical care.
Ensure supervision skills are maintained in line with professional guidelines.
Have knowledge of MDT working in order to understand complex clinical presentations.
Work in a sensitive manner with respect to diversity and gender, ethnic, culture and philosophical issues.
Be aware of the limits of own competence and expertise.
Maintain and update knowledge of legislation and local policies and issues in relation to Adult Mental Health.
Attend in-house and external mandatory training courses.
It would be great if you also have:
Senior Psychological Therapist
Additional training or qualification in specific therapies.
Completed the Generic Supervision Course (GSC) or equivalent.
Evidence of an interest in and experience of working with clients with complex psychological difficulties.
Experience of providing training to other health and non-health colleagues.
Experience of supervising qualified and/or trainee psychological therapists.
Have specialist knowledge related to specific area of work, e.g. Eating disorders, Trauma.

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Eastvale Resource Centre.
The working pattern for this role is Mon-Fri; 9:00-5:00 pro rata.
