Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Research Delivery Team based in Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This part time (0.8WTE) permanent post requires the successful applicant to take a lead role in the successful delivery of a range of studies that reflect the services provided by the Trust. The post-holder will be a Registered Nurse, Allied Health Professional (AHP), Clinical Research Practitioner or hold a relevant academic qualification, with substantial experience of working with NHS and/or social care research. They will be highly motivated, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work sensitively and professionally with research participants, families, colleagues and clinicians. They will have experience working with vulnerable individuals in a range of health and/or social care settings. The post-holder must have well developed knowledge of, and experience in, the delivery of health research, governance, good clinical practice, understanding of information governance and GDPR application to research. As we work across all services within the Trust, the ability to work with patients and clinicians across different services is essential. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will be responsible for: Assisting with feasibility assessments for proposed studies Facilitating the efficient and safe delivery of a balanced portfolio of research in the Trust and in other organisations as required. Ensuring that portfolio adopted research studies are completed to time and target while ensuring full compliance with Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and national, policies and regulations. Ensuring relevant research opportunities are made accessible to patients. Conducting required assessments and clinical tests within professional scope of practice and/or which they have been appropriately trained. Monitoring and measuring research activity and performance for specific projects. Providing leadership and supervision for less experienced staff Building relationships across professional and academic boundaries (Trusts, Universities and third sector) to raise awareness of research and increase levels of participation.
