Job Title: Industrial Process Technician \n\nFabulous Company whose employee's well-being is at the heart of their culture \n\nPosition Summary: We are seeking a multi-skilled Industrial Process Technician to join our client's team. Reporting to the Shift Coordinator, you will operate all parts of the plant process, including testing products and loading tankers for customer deliveries. This role ensures maximum efficiency while maintaining safety, environmental, food safety, and quality standards.
The position operates on a 12-hour shift rota, working both days and nights.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nOperate all parts of the plant process to optimise production efficiency.\nConduct fault finding throughout the process and implement solutions.\nOperate ancillary operations including boilers, crude tank farm, effluent plant, and compressors.\nPerform product quality testing both in-process and for finished products, logging results into the LIMS and producing certificates of analysis as required.\nManage customer blends efficiently and ensure tanker inspection procedures and documentation are completed in line with customer requirements.\nEnsure safety procedures are adhered to and participate in improving and developing procedures, including risk assessments and safety inspections.\nMeet environmental objectives and work to minimise the operation's environmental impact.\nEnsure all food safety and quality requirements are met, continually improving systems through internal audits and plant inspections.\nMaintain housekeeping standards by following specific cleaning schedules and self-inspecting plant conditions.\nComplete all documentation accurately as required by site procedures.\nUse a computerised maintenance management system to log any faults on the plant.\nTake responsibility for first-line problem-solving throughout the entire refinery operation and subsequent troubleshooting and escalation.\nPerform other appropriate duties as needed, with training provided to develop necessary skills.Qualifications, Skills & Experience:\n\nEducated to "A" level / HNC standard in Chemistry or Science subjects or equivalent experience.\nMinimum 5 years' experience in the food or process industry.\nKnowledge and understanding of liquids/chemical processing and associated equipment (e.g., pumps, vacuum systems, filtration).\nFamiliarity with industrial control systems and process automation.\nStructured fault-finding skills and root cause analysis.\nFamiliarity with business/quality systems and/or knowledge of HACCP.\nHigh standards for oneself and others.Desirable Experience:\n\nExperience in carrying out risk assessments.\nWorking knowledge of COSHH legislation.\nMechanical or Electrical Engineering experience.Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
