The Opportunity
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Inspection Co-Ordinator to become responsible for initiating, leading & implementing the integrity inspection program for equipment & systems across all site areas, with the clear objective of full legal compliance and adherence to SHE critical roles.
You will receive a competitive salary alongside a wide range of benefits including 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays (this will increase to 28 in line with service), excellent pension scheme of 5% which will increase to 10-15% after probation period, fantastic healthcare, and death in service.
Hours: 37.5 per week (normally 8.30 - 4.30)
Your duties and responsibilities will be:
1. Initiate, lead & implement the integrity inspection program for equipment & systems across all site areas, with the objective of full legal compliance and adherence to SHE critical roles.
2. Manage the pipeline inspection program contract.
3. Responsible for site fixed ladder access integrity program.
4. Manage the Octane Additives Transport Container inspection program.
5. Conduct regular audits of inspection systems and procedures to ensure site compliance with relevant legislation.
6. Efficient administration & record keeping (both electronic and paper).
7. Custodian of the company asset registers with respect to PSSR and PED legislation.
8. Management of Ageing Asset integrity program.
9. Review, inspect and test Pressure relief valves and Bursting Discs.
10. Oversee quality control for fabrication of pipelines.
11. Manage third-party inspection contracts.
You will have the following qualifications and experience:
1. Familiarity with SAP S4HANA and suite of Microsoft applications.
2. Experience with resource planning systems for shutdowns and routine maintenance.
3. Knowledge of HSE guidance on Managing Ageing Plant.
4. A systematic & rigorous approach to organisation, planning, implementation of work, and record-keeping.
5. Awareness of COMAH Regulations.
6. Awareness of low and high hazard permitting.
7. Time served apprenticeship, HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
8. CSWIP Plant Inspection qualification.
9. Extensive experience in functional inspection role.
10. Sound knowledge of materials of construction, detailed equipment design and fabrication methods, materials compatibility with manufacturing processes, material corrosion characteristics and potential failure modes.
11. Good understanding of continuous improvement processes, project management experience, knowledge of loss prevention principles.
The setting for the role:
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a chemical site. These can include chemical burns, trips and falls, overexertion, cuts and scrapes, chemical exposure, inhalation of chemicals, and confined spaces. A full site induction will be provided, and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
