Salary: £45,000 to £58,000 Basic salary (experience dependent)

Location: Northwest UK (Home Based - could live in Warrington, Manchester, Liverpool, Blackburn, Widnes, North Wales, Bolton, Cumbria, Ellesmere port, Wigan, Carlisle, Chester, Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe, Preston, Lancaster, Blackpool, Stockport, Rochdale etc.)

A world leading manufacturer of rotating equipment and mechanical components for applications throughout numerous industrial sectors including Chemical, Oil & Gas, Food and Beverage, Pulp and Paper, Mining, Process, Defence, Power, Wastewater and Pharmaceutical. My client has been established for many years and is a global leader in rotating equipment with a multimillion turnover operating across the World. They manufacture products, systems and solutions that enhance pump efficiency and reliability and significantly reduce maintenance downtime and cost.
Responsibilities:
1. Reporting directly to the UK Sales Manager.
2. Take responsibility for business activities throughout the Northwest of England and North Wales region.
3. Manage the area focusing on Account Management (70%) and new client acquisition (30%).
4. Engage with a diverse client base in industrial, process, and manufacturing environments.
5. Perform technical solution selling requiring mechanical engineering aptitude.
6. Report all sales and quotation activity on a monthly basis.
7. Collaborate with a team of internal sales engineers for technical support.
The Candidate:
1. External sales experience from an associated sector (mechanical seals, rotating equipment, pumps, valves, etc.).
2. Mechanical Engineering Background.
3. Full knowledge of rotating equipment and mechanical seals is highly beneficial.
4. Understanding of rotating equipment: pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, seals, etc.
5. Strong strategic thinker with exceptional ability to develop relationships and manage key accounts.
6. Ability to identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. Proven track record of business-to-business sales.
9. Dynamic “can do” attitude with enthusiasm for sales.
10. Engineering qualification is advantageous but not essential.
11. A mechanical engineering apprenticeship is desirable.
12. Extensive product training will be provided.
