We are seeking a dynamic and experienced PR & Corporate Communications Manager to join our team. This role is key to our goal to our mission of driving innovation and sustainability within the automotive industry. The PR & Corporate Communications Manager will serve as the primary liaison for media communications, playing a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the reputation of the Mercedes-Benz Truck and FUSO brands. About the role: Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders to amplify brand visibility. Promote the unique selling propositions of Mercedes-Benz Truck and FUSO, with a focus on zero-emission vehicles and digital services. Highlight Daimler Truck's commitment to sustainability, showcasing our leadership in developing future sustainability products. Manage the entire corporate communication process, ensuring alignment with our sustainability goals and digital transformation journey. Act as the primary point of contact for all press and media inquiries. Develop a dedicated PR strategy for the truck division, in line with Daimler Truck UK's sustainability strategy. Write and distribute brand press releases that promote our commitment to sustainability and digital innovation. Manage engagement with external parties to ensure maximum coverage and brand promotion. Provide PR support to the Mercedes-Benz Truck Dealer Network, ensuring message consistency. Compile and manage reports related to the PR and corporate communications budget. Manage the Daimler Truck UK Media Site, ensuring a full mix of media format availability. Collaborate with the social media team to ensure accurate dissemination of press releases. This is a local, permanent role. LI-CE Qualifications Experience & Skills At least 3 years of relevant experience in media or a graduate-level qualification in a PR environment. Strategic thinker with the ability to implement tactical activities. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills. Ability to write effective press releases. Experience and judgement of handling hostile media issues, recognising potential crisis. Ability to identify and exploit brand opportunities in competitive market environment. Flexibility with working hours and willingness to attend events as required. Ability to prioritise workload and take individual responsibility. HGV licence holder advantageous but not essential.
