What makes Girbau unique is our people, our team We’re looking for driven Customer Service Area Controllers to join us and form a key part of the Commercial Operations Team. You’ll embrace responsibility for the end-to-end oversight and control of the customer experience within our Operations Function. A champion of customer queries and issues, you’ll see them through to a satisfactory conclusion and ensure that customers' equipment is serviced, maintained, and repaired as quickly and efficiently as possible. What You’ll Do Work in collaboration with the Area Sales Manager to ensure that customers within a geographical area receive the very best after-sales service possible. Record all calls and enquiries from customers within your geographical remit and take ownership of ensuring those calls are managed efficiently from receipt to invoice. Manage customer expectations through regular and transparent communications. Full oversight of assigned customer accounts – building and maintaining robust relationships with regional customers. Dealing with queries (including escalation if required) from customers and engineers and updating the CRM system accordingly. Processing and invoicing jobs/raising credit notes. About You Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Efficiency, accuracy, attention to detail. Self-motivated and willing to take the initiative. Aptitude to work without direct supervision. Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt and successfully multitask. Good working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel and, ideally, database programmes. Minimum of one year’s experience of administration and reception work within a busy office environment. A minimum of 5 GCSEs with grades A-C (including maths and English). Ideally NVQ level 2 in Customer Service. A bit about the role: Location – Hitchin, Herts Hours – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday exclusive of ½ hour lunch break.
