TP Tutors are currently working with Schools and Local Authorities within South Tyneside. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about making a difference in children’s lives by achieving their academic goals.
This role will require someone to work closely with students on a 1-1 basis, providing them with high-quality sessions surrounding a variety of subjects to maximise their potential across the subject. This role may involve working with children outside of a mainstream setting.
Tutor Requirements:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications are preferred (Qualified Teacher Status, QTS).
* A strong subject knowledge of your chosen subject’s curriculum.
* Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.
* An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).
* Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.
This role involves:
* Planning, creating and delivering engaging sessions to children who are currently working below expectations.
* Applying a variety of behavioural strategies to ensure the children are engaged.
* Having an awareness of the child’s needs and interests, using this to create a child-centred approach to learning.
* Assessing pupils, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes and planning next steps.
