Job Title: Home Manager – Learning Disability Service Location: Radstock, Somerset Salary: £40,000 per annum Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Amber Mace are recruiting on behalf of a dedicated provider of care services for individuals with learning disabilities, committed to promoting independence and enhancing the lives of those we support. This small, welcoming service in Radstock provides a safe and supportive environment for adults with learning disabilities, helping them achieve their personal goals and lead fulfilling lives. We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and committed Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our service, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained at all times. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a care service, with a strong background in learning disabilities and ideally have held CQC registration in the past. Key Responsibilities: Manage the operational and financial aspects of the service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to individuals with learning disabilities. Lead, inspire, and support a dedicated team of care staff, ensuring the ongoing development and training of the team. Oversee the service’s CQC compliance, managing inspections and implementing improvements where necessary. Develop and maintain strong relationships with individuals we support, their families, and other healthcare professionals. Ensure that all regulatory requirements and policies are adhered to, maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resources efficiently to ensure the smooth running of the service. Requirements: Proven experience in a Home Manager or similar role within the learning disability or social care sector. Ideally, previous experience of holding CQC registration or managing services through CQC inspections. In-depth understanding of CQC regulations and best practices for learning disability care. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a team. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, and staff. A compassionate and dedicated approach to providing person-centered care. A relevant managerial qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent).
