Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) are looking for a Lead Design Engineer to deliver a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects on our Thames Water Framework in the Thames Valley Region. MMB continue to successfully deliver our AMP 7 projects and are preparing to move into AMP8 delivery with Thames Water. We are looking for a people with the knowledge, experience, and drive to take this forward. As a Lead Design Engineer, you will be accountable for the delivery of all aspects of design for a programme of projects in either Wastewater Treatment, Clean Water Production or Infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing your team of Project Leaders and other discipline engineers. The ability to develop and grow your design team from a successful platform. You can be a key part in the wider regional team working closely with our other design leads. Your responsibilities: Lead your team in the delivery of designs suitable for our construction teams to deliver working closely with your commercial and operational counterparts. Provide direction to the team, including oversight of project controls, and ensuring compliance with quality, programme, and cost requirements. Ensure the client's Asset Standards are applied correctly to the projects whilst driving efficiencies through challenging and promoting the good practice from other areas of the business. Work closely with the client's Engineers to deliver our target project portfolio and to ensure we remain a trusted partner. Analyse project performance and identify risks that may impact project delivery. Embed a positive and honest environment for your team where everyone is challenged and encouraged to reach their potential. What you can offer: Chartered or Incorporated Engineer Experience in water or wastewater design. Experience of leading and developing a design team. Experience and knowledge of the Designer and Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015. This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture business, both with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues.
