Working in a busy Hospital environment conducting repairs as dictated by the end user through our CAFM system. This may involve tracing pipework, isolation valves, supply origins on water systems. AHU repairs, removal and replacement of motors/fans. Planned maintenance to a statutory compliance level on AHUs, mechanical plant and equipment.
Repairing mechanical equipment and planned maintenance duties as required by the trust to include but not limited to AHUs, Calorifiers, Water systems, drainage systems. Working in plant rooms and boiler rooms to conduct repairs and perform maintenance activities. Ensuring a tidy work area at all times, during and after any activity and ensuring all further work requests are escalated appropriately. Participate in the mechanical call out rota with flexibility to cover.
The Estates Department provides a comprehensive maintenance, repair and installation service of the buildings, grounds, engineering services and associated equipment throughout the Trust that requires any appointed candidate to be flexible in their approach to working hours as and when based on the needs of the trust.
You must have served a recognised Mechanical or Building Services apprenticeship and gained a wide experience in building engineering services and plant maintenance with City and Guilds level 3 qualification plus equivalent experience in a mechanical maintenance environment.
You must hold a current UK (manual) driving licence and reside within half an hour normal travel time to fulfil on-call duties.
The role is Monday – Friday with participation in an emergency on-call service plus opportunities for overtime.
