Job Title: Occupational Health Manager – Global Pharmaceutical Contract length: 12 months Location: UK based Responsible for delivering a high quality, reliable, evidence based, customer focused and consistent Occupational Health service across the UK sites to meet the Occupational Health needs of the business. Leading on important strategic and operational matters and a key decision maker for the UK function and global engagement as required. Accountability and oversight of all UK Occupational Health policies and processes. Successful candidate can be based from Stevenage, Ware, Harlow, Barnard Castle and Montrose and will need to travel as required to the other locations. Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with Occupational Health, EHS and HR (Human Resources) colleagues’ and other key stakeholders across the business to deliver strategy and enhance performance of the function through innovation, performance & trust. Direct Line and indirect line management responsibility for UK team ensuring quality and governance standards are aligned, that all staff have appropriate capabilities in role and staff can meet their regulatory requirements and have opportunities for development and growth. Leadership, coaching, mentorship, and supervision, overseeing successful staff objectives and performance plans of staff with regular feedback on performance in line with the client performance process. Critically appraise and evaluate academic and clinical documents and research to consider OH service delivery as applicable. Seek and respond to customer feedback, investigate complaints, investigate and manage clinical incidents, adverse events, near misses and work with HR on complaints, as required. Manage any CAPAs (Corrective and Preventative Actions) and improve processes and service delivery in response to such feedback. Implementing/Manager and engage in projects that support the wider OH strategy, within the UK and where required, globally. Requirements: Registered Nurse, NMC, Part 3. Post graduate Occupational Health qualification. MSc/BSc in Occupational Health /- safety management or related health studies. Relevant clinical and management expertise required to Lead and supervise staff and assess the health needs of the business. Previous management experience essential. Coaching and staff supervisory experience. Customer interface- such as training/presenting relevant health data. Skilled at high level audit on clinical performance and service delivery. The role requires leadership accountability and management of teams to ensure the OH Function delivers innovation, performance & trust. The individual will be required to be a strategic lead providing leadership, coaching and mentorship. Needs to communicate, engage, influence, and build relationships with key stakeholders. Recent proven experience required in Project Management. Excellent and wide-ranging level of IT knowledge, with a strong ability to be agile in the IT space embracing innovative technology.
