Role Overview:
As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and managing relationships with key decision-makers at top-tier banks and financial institutions. This is a high-impact, strategic sales role where you will leverage your deep understanding of the banking industry and SaaS solutions to accelerate adoption and growth of our platform within enterprise-level organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to identify, engage, and close new business opportunities with banks and financial institutions.
Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with C-suite executives, decision-makers, and other key stakeholders in target accounts.
Sales Cycle Management: Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and closing, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Market Insights & Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the banking industry, SaaS solutions, and regulatory changes to offer tailored solutions to clients.
Partnership Development: Collaborate with marketing, customer success, and product teams to create compelling value propositions and ensure customer satisfaction post-sale.
Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and insights to leadership, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Key Qualifications:
Proven experience in business development or enterprise sales, with a focus on selling SaaS solutions to banks or financial institutions.
Strong understanding of the banking industry, its challenges, and technology trends.
Demonstrated success in managing long sales cycles and closing high-value deals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and other key decision-makers.
Self-starter with a results-driven mind-set and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A deep understanding of the financial technology landscape is a plus.
