Responsibilities will include booking appointments, out coming appointments, general office duties consisting of filing, sorting post results, liaising with patients, GPs, hospital medical and clinical staff, dealing with enquiries by e-mail and telephone. In this role, colleagues are expected to support the department and organisation by carrying out any other duties that reasonably fit within the broad scope of a job of this grade and type of work. The successful candidate will have excellent clerical and typing skills and will be able to communicate professionally and effectively with patients as well as clinical and non-clinical staff. Knowledge of the clinical systems used at Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust (including Solus, Cerner (Surrey Safe Care), Dictate IT and Evolve) essential.
