Venator is currently recruiting for a Process Operative to join the CBX / Zinc team based at our Birtley site.
Reporting to the Birtley Production Team Leader, the successful candidate will have the following job responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities:
1. Work to the manufacturing schedule, as directed by the Production Team Leader, in line with Process Specifications and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring the schedule is met and reporting any non-conformances or risks to the schedule immediately.
2. Ensure that all necessary batch samples (or standards) are physically taken and made available to quality control/analytical.
3. Perform required process control checks during processing and maintain accurate records. Take action to rectify any anomalies or uncertainties immediately and inform the relevant personnel.
4. Assist the Production Team Leader in ensuring routine stock control, cycle counting, and stocktaking are undertaken regularly and accurately. Ensure all material, product, and waste are properly identified and that product labeling, status, and location are current and correct.
5. Maintain the CBX and Zinc Warehouse to the desired standard and ensure that all materials, both incoming and outgoing, are controlled in the approved manner, including labeling and, where appropriate, sampling.
6. Complete all EHS and Production Based documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Participate in resolving process, equipment, or quality issues, and Health & Safety problems as quickly as possible to maintain production continuity in a planned and safe manner.
7. Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations including PPE, process equipment, and L.E.V control measures, handling of hazardous materials, and the safe disposal of waste products created by the manufacturing process.
Candidate Requirements:
The role requires the job holder to have the following skills and experience:
1. One to two years in a manufacturing environment.
2. Experience in manual activities in a manufacturing environment.
3. Flexibility.
4. Ability to input data and use computer data systems (training provided).
5. Ability to cope with workload under pressure.
6. Ability to work accurately and methodically, in a safe manner.
7. Ability to prioritize workload for self and teams.
8. Ability to work proactively and efficiently with other shifts.
9. Ability to work successfully within a team environment.
10. Nationally recognized qualification in Production operations.
