Wealden is a large and predominantly rural area situated in East Sussex stretching from the coastal areas of the Seven Sisters and Pevensey Bay in the south and inland to Crowborough and the Ashdown Forest.
The Council has a diverse property portfolio of Local Authority assets, these range from unadopted land and public car parks and toilets to Leisure Centres, commercial and historic properties.
We’re looking for a dedicated Support Officer to join our small and friendly team. You’ll play a vital role in assisting with various enquiries, ensuring a positive experience to customers and colleagues within the authority.
What will you be doing?
Providing a single point of contact for customers and others, by telephone, electronically or face to face, resolving enquiries, wherever possible, at the first point of contact.
Ensuring invoicing/payment is carried out and completed within the relevant timescales.
Day to Day Management of various contracts to include the Community Toilet Scheme.
Maintain records in respect of car park management to include complaints, queries, payments and legal, including monitoring progress in respect thereof.
What do you need?
Must be capable of dealing efficiently and sympathetically with members of the public.
Enthusiastic, conscientious and the ability to use their own initiative and work within a team.
A good level of general education, with GCSE or equivalent passes in English and Math’s at 'C' or above.
Experience of computerised systems (especially MS Office products).
